Vehicle Description This is 1978 Mercedes Benz 450 SLC Euro that my grandfather bought in Germany and had shipped to the U.
S.
in 1983.
It was his daily driver for a few years in the 90s.
Then stowed it away in the garage.
Car was passed along to me in 2014 and since then I've only put roughly 8,000 miles on it.
Car currently has 222749km (138,409 miles) on the original engine.
This is a beautiful, head turning, fun to drive car that's held up nicely over the last 42 years and still has a lot to give.
This car is in good condition with minor cosmetic defects, runs very well.
Black leather interior, automatic, 4.
5 liter V8, Power Windows, Suction Doors, Powered Sun Roof, My grandfather had it repainted in the original color and redid the chrome before it came into my possession.
Passenger door stopped opening from the outside last year but still opens from the outside.
There is a rust caused hole in the front right wheel well that will need to be addressed at some point.
Seals need to be redone in order for the car interior to become watertight.
I had a mechanic write up a list of recommended repairs (see photos) Stock Radio currently disconnected.
Was functional but was disconnected when looking into after market options.
Car has aftermarket wheels.
I still have the original wheels as well and will include them in the sale.
Sad to see this car go but I feel it's time to move it along and let someone else enjoy it as much as I have.
